Humility breeds followership

Image
Image by Mike Myatt on his blog {Link to http://hub.n2growth.com/humility-and-leadership/} Matt 8:1 (NKJV) When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him 'Coming down from a mountain' speaks of humility . When you come down to people's level and relate with them, they will follow you and adore you as their leader. The majority of people ("A great multitude") are not on a mountain. They are on the ground. These people won't follow you up a mountain. Not everyone is willing to 'Go up a mountain'. In short, only few will. 'Going up a mountain' speaks of personal development. Only leaders  are willing to do what it takes to 'go up a mountain' because it requires discipline, dedication, resilience, etc. Leaders possess these attributes in spades. But after getting up to the mountain, don't relate with people from up there because they won't follow you and be with you up there. When you 'come do...

The price has been paid!

Image
Image by Sizzle on {link to https://onsizzle.com/i/your-sins-have-been-jesus-paid-the-price-5080048} Gal 3:13-14 (GW)   Christ paid the price to free us from the curse that the laws in Moses’ Teachings bring by becoming cursed instead of us. Scripture says, “Everyone who is hung on a tree is cursed.”  Christ paid the price so that the blessing promised to Abraham would come to all the people of the world through Jesus Christ and we would receive the promised Spirit through faith. The price has been paid! The price for our redemption, salvation and freedom has been paid by Jesus. The payment needed for our propitiation has been made by Him. He took our place of punishment on the cross and He died in our place. By His crucifixion, death and resurrection, we have been redeemed. With His precious blood that was shared, we have been made totally free from sicknesses, diseases, lack, sorrows, pain, failure. He has paid it all in full! He has paid for us to ha...

Mercy has been provided in advance

Image
Image at Pinterest {Link to https://www.pinterest.com/pin/741264419887269379/} Heb 8:12 (TLB) And I will be merciful to them in their wrongdoings, and I will remember their sins no more.” God loves you so very much. He knows there are days you will make mistakes. He knows there are days you will be weak and cut off guard. Sometimes, unconsciously you make mistakes. Other times, you are like the great Apostle Paul who sometimes did the things He didn't want to do (Rom 7:15-20). God knows there will be such days; days when unfortunately, you will sin and do wrong. But you know what, He has made provision of mercy for you for those days. He has released mercy in advance for you. The phrase " will be " in the scripture above is futuristic. God Himself said that in those days when you will sin, He will be merciful . Not only that, He also said He will remember your sins no more . Contrary to what many believe, God is not making a note of all your sins . No! The...

Do whatever God tells you to do

Image
Image by Keith Thomas on his blog {link to https://groupbiblestudy.com/do-whatever-he-tells-you-3/} John 2:5 (AMP) His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” God is too busy saying what He doesn't mean and will not do. His Word is God (John 1:1) and He honours His Words even more than His name (Psa 138:2). So, WHATEVER He tells you to do, take it SERIOUSLY and DO IT . The blessing, the miracle is in the doing (Jam 1:25) .     Mary, the mother of Jesus, understood this truth very well hence she told the servants at the wedding in Cana of Galilee to do whatever Jesus told them to do. It was necessary for her to say this to them because she knew there was a possibility of Jesus telling them to do something 'ridiculous' and 'unreasonable' from a human perspective. But you know what, God's ways are not man's ways. His ways are much more higher than ours (Isa 55:8-9). His wisdom is incomparable to ours. He chooses the fooli...

Jesus specializes in saving you!

Image
Image by QuotesGram team on their blog {link to http://quotesgram.com/quotes-about-jesus-as-savior/}   John 4:3-4 (AMP) He left Judea and returned again to Galilee. Now He had to go through Samaria. Etymologically, Judea means "a  place of praise" or "a praised place"; Galilee means "a place of darkness" or "a region of death". In the Scripture above, we see that Jesus left a place of praise, a place of happiness and satisfaction, a place where people where praising God, praising Him, a place where He was accepted and reverenced; and He went to a place of death, sorrow, defeat, shame, disappointments, darkness, failure,  a place which was the antithesis of where He left . The question is why would He do that? The simple answer is this: He went there to save the people in Galilee.  Saving people is Jesus' job description . He specializes in saving people. He derives pleasure in doing it.  The scripture says He  returned again...

I am a king! I am a priest! I am reigning!

Image
Image by Bible Life Family Ministries on their blog {Link to http://www.biblelifemk.com/pages/store.html} Rev 5:10 (NKJV) And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.” And so, I declare; I am a king! I am a priest! Christ has made me a king and a priest to God my Father. I have utmost power and authority. I exercise such as a king and priest that I am. I am a ruler! I am reigning! I reign over sicknesses, diseases, poverty, sorrow, lack, pain, disappointments, limitations. I receive the abundance of grace to reign in life. I so declare in Jesus' name, Amen!

Receive Abundance of Grace and Righteousness to Reign

Image
Image by Pinterest available at {Link to https://www.pinterest.com/pin/466615211361957456/} Rom 5:17 For if by the trespass of the one (Adam), death reigned through the one (Adam), much more surely will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in [eternal] life through the One, Jesus Christ. Through the sin of Adam, death was ushered into the world. Not just death, but its attendant ills: sicknesses, diseases, struggles, lack, sorrows, pain, etc. Ab initio, they were nonexistent, but through Adam, they became the lot of all . We all were made sinners with the wages of death because of Adam's disobedience. So also, the free gift of righteousness and the abundance of grace has been given to all through the obedience of Jesus (Rom 5:19). Now, for those who receive this free gift of righteousness and the abundance of grace, they will  reign in life. We've been empowered by the grace and righteousness of Jesus to reign ov...

Righteousness is a gift, a product of Grace

Image
Image by Apostle John Benefiel {Link to http://www.cotr.tv/jc-gods-free-gift} Gal 2:21 (KJV) I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain . Righteousness is a gift from God. It doesn't come from observing the law. If it did, it wouldn't be a gift, it would be a reward because we earned it. It is impossible for us to earn the righteousness of God from the works of the law because even in our best days, we still don't measure up to God's standards. Our own righteousness is like filth before God (Isa 64:6).  Friends, if you attempt to earn righteousness by your good works, by observing the law, you would be frustrating the Grace of God. You would be saying "Jesus didn't do it right. Let me do it myself". You could try for eternity, you still couldn't earn and deserve the righteousness of God because Righteousness doesn't come from the law. If it did, Jesus - the beloved and on...

God will not withhold anything from Us

Image
Image by Joyce Sparks on her blog {Link to http://undergroundjoyride.com/new-post-be-careful-with-what-you-ask-for/ask-and-you-shall-receive/} Rom 8:32 (AMP) He who did not spare [even] His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? If God could give up Jesus for our propitiation, how will He not give unto us all things we ask? God graciously and willingly  gave Jesus to die in our place. That's the hardest thing He will ever have to do for all eternity. Yet, He did it graciously. We didn't deserve it, yet He did it anyway because He so loved us. If He did this, what will He not do for us? I mean Jesus is the most valuable  gift He could ever give. There's nothing you are going to ask Him greater than what He has already given to us in the crucifixion of Jesus. Every thing is nothing compared to Jesus. If He could give the most valuable, how will He not give lesser gifts? Withholding anyt...

We are crucified with Christ

Image
Image at Pinterest {Link to https://ru.pinterest.com/pin/465418942712930069/}   Gal 2:20 (AMP) I have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. When Jesus was crucified, we were in Him being crucified too. As a result, we died with Him too. When He arose from the grave, we did too. But, the beauty of it is that, we didn't resurrect with our own life, but with His! We received His very life on His resurrection. Glory to God! So, the life we now live is not ours, it's Christ. We now have the life of God in us ; the life of power, victory, prosperity, health, success, excellence, joy, peace, faith, miracles, abundance. Christ is in us, empowering us to live the life of God. Glory to Jesus!

I am healed!

My total and complete healing has been paid for. Every area of my life is healed! Everything about me is healed! I am healed in my spirit, soul, body, mind, finances, career, family, academics, ministry. Beyond healing, I am healthy. Christ has given me perfect health. I will never experience sickness ever again. My sicknesses have been taken away. Divine health has been given to me. I so declare in the mighty name of Jesus' Amen!! Glory to God!!!

We've been Redeemed!

Image
Image by An Ordinary Mom on her blog {Link to http://www.anordinarymom.com/redeemed/} Gal 3:13 (AMP) Christ purchased our freedom and redeemed us from the curse of the Law and its condemnation by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS [crucified] ON A TREE (cross)” At the cross, Jesus paid the ultimate price for our freedom, redemption, salvation; and as a consequence of His sacrifice, we are free! Free from every curse, sickness, disease, shame, failure, pain. He became a curse for us so we will be liberated from the curse of the law and from every other curse. He shared His blood for our sanctification.  Friends, you've been redeemed! You're free! In Christ, you've been liberated from the most puissant curse - the curse of the law. Christ became the curse, so we could become His Righteousness. He redeemed us from the curse of the law into the blessings of Grace. Now, we are blessed and NO ONE can curse us. We are right...

Call on Jesus and be saved

Image
Image by Jamie Moore via Pinterest  {Link to https://www.pinterest.com/pin/545709679822959781/} Rom 10: 13 says "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." We see here that there is  no restriction  placed on who can call on the name of the Lord. The bible didn't say "For Christians ...." or Bishops or Archbishops or Pastors or Evangelists or those filled with the Holy Ghost or those baptized with water or those who go to church regularly or those who fast and pray . No! No!! No!!! A zillion times No! " Whosoever " shall call on His name; meaning anyone can!. Liars can, thieves can, prostitutes can, Moslems can, Hindus can, ritualists can, homosexuals can; all manner of people irrespective of tribe, race, colour, background, education, personality, etc can call on His name and be saved . There is salvation in the name of Jesus! Jesus is the Saviour of the World . That means, He is our Saviour: mine and yo...

We are more than conquerors

Image
Image by Jeanie Waters on her blog {Link to https://watersjeanie.wordpress.com/} We are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. Christ has overcomed the world for us (John 16:33). He has overcomed sin, sicknesses, diseases, lack, poverty, failure, confusion, stagnancy, sorrow, etc; and He has given us victory. We are victors, overcomers in Christ Jesus. In as much as Christ has already overcomed for us, we have no more battles to fight. Christ has fought it all and given us victory. (John 19:30). Now, we live a life of victory. We have been placed in a pedestal of victory far above defeat. When Jesus went to the cross, He fulfilled once and for all God's promise in Exo 14:14. And then He gave us the peace God promised us to "hold". Brethren, 'Hold your peace', it's yours! We have been made not just conquerors, but more than conquerors; even better. Whatever situation that you face, face it head-on knowing that you are already victorious. ...

The blessing is in the doing

Image
Image available at {Link to http://motivator-new.blogspot.com.ng/}  Jam 1:25 (AMP) "But he who looks carefully into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and faithfully abides by it, not having become a [careless] listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he will be blessed and favored by God in what he does [in his life of obedience]" The blessing is in the doing of the Word. It is great to listen to the Word but it's not enough . If we don't obey or do what we hear, we receive no blessing. Listening is a pre-requisite for the blessing because from hearing the Word, we receive the faith required to 'do the Word' (Rom 10:17). The faith we receive will produce no blessing if it is not accompanied by action . It is only when we do the Word that we receive the blessing inherent in it. Every Word from God is pregnant with blessings which are released on obedience . Jesus also said in Matt 7:24 that it is the Wise man that does the Wor...

Know God, be strong and then do exploits.

Image
The relationship between knowledge , strength and doing exploits was firmly established in Dan 11:32b " .....but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits" . So we see that, the requisite strength for doing exploits comes from the knowledge of God. Only those who know their God will be strong ; and only those with such strength will do exploits . Strength comes from knowledge, the knowledge of God . The reason people crumble and fail in certain situations is because they lack strength (Prov 24:10); and lack of strength is a consequence of a lack of knowledge (ignorance). Ignorance yields failure. If you want to excel and attain outstanding accomplishments, know God and then you will have the strength to attain it. Friends, God wants to be known. He is not trying to conceal Himself from His children. He wants us to know Him, and when we do, we shall do awesome things, That's His desire for us. He doesn't want us to be mediocres beca...

Be kind with words.

Image
Be kind and gentle in speech. Let your words be filled with grace, seasoned with salt, such that it imparts grace to people. God is always gracious to us in speech, let us extend that grace to others. When the adulterous woman was brought to Jesus, every other person was harsh, critical and condemning. In contrast, Jesus was graceful and compassionate, and as a result He was kind and gentle with her in His speech. He didn't interrogate her; He didn't make her feel worse that she already was. He made her feel better with His words.  It is important to note that, while many may never abuse people physically, most do verbally. Let's be kind with one another in our utterances. Jesus is our ultimate example, let's be like Him. Remember, do unto others what you want them to do to you.

We are Ambassadors of Heaven.

Image
Ambassadors are representatives . They represent their home country. When someone is made an ambassador, he is empowered and given the wherewithal to represent his country accurately in every way, and in the best way possible. Scripture has established that we are from heaven and are ambassadors of heaven here on earth. Being ambassadors, we have been empowered by God to be true and accurate representatives of heaven for " ALL that pertains unto life and godliness has been freely given unto us" 2 Pet 1:3, coupled with the fact that the King, Himself lives in us . Consequently, we are to paint a precise picture of heaven in every area of our lives. Heaven epitomizes beauty, splendour, wealth, health, love, joy, peace, etc; we are to abundantly display these wonderful attributes; then we would be accurately representing our home country. A good ambassador projects the best and true image of his country. We are to show the world the reality of heaven. You are an ambassa...

Be humble.

Image
Be humble. Jesus - our example - is the epitome of humility and humility is also a fruit of the Spirit. Don't be a show-off; don't go telling everyone who cares to listen "I have this", "I have done this", " I can do this". Yes, there is a place for that and you should when absolutely necessary, but don't go about intimidating people with your résumé. Jesus didn't tell everybody He met "I am the Son of God; I am God". He hardly declared His identity publicly. Even though it was a fact and maybe it was necessary to do that sometime (during His crucifixion comes to mind), He hardly did. In some occasions, He told people not to tell anyone what He had done. The bible records only one  situation where He voiced that "He is the Christ" and only one person was there, the Samaritan woman at the well. By the way, she initiated the conversation about His identity. Be humble, be meek; don't be overtly expressive or vocal...

I am full of life!

Image
John 10:10 .....I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. And so, I declare that I have life and I have it more abundantly . Christ has given me abundance of life. I am full of life. I have the life of God. I live the life of God. I have a long and enjoyable life. I so declare in Jesus' name, Amen!

We have life more abundantly

Image
Christ came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. This abundance of life is not just in duration but also in quality . He came that we might have a long and reputable life . He came to make us 'full of life '.  When Jesus went back to heaven, He didn't take this more abundant life back with Him. He handed it over to us when He died. Now, we have that life, His life. It's ours now, so enjoy it!

Do good to all men

Image
You are God's instrument to do good to people. He is a good God and wants to show His goodness to all men, but you are the one He will use. So, do good to ALL men. It actually feels good to do good . And, remember, that as you do so, you will receive goodness in return.

God can be trusted

Image
God is not a man that He should lie. He can be trusted to keep His promises. He can fulfill His Word. He is too busy to make empty promises. He is not like our politicians that say all manner of things to cajole us. He is not a con artist. God can do everything He says He will do. His ability is never in doubt. Most importantly, He is not just able but also willing to do what He has promised. You can trust Him.

God is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Image
God is the same yesterday, today and forever. If He did it before, He can do it again and even do better than he did before. He can do what He says He will do! He never fails. He never ages. His abilities never wanes. His dominion is irrespective of time. His Word is immutable.  What are you trusting Him for? If He did it for one, He can do it for another. He is still doing good; He is still blessing people; He is still changing lives. And He can do it for you too! Yours is about to be the latest. It's your time; it's your turn.

The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places!

Image
Psa 16:6  The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Yes, I have a good inheritance. (NKJV) How wonderful are your gifts to me; how good they are! (GNT) And so, I declare, that the lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; everything is coming together for me. I have delightful inheritance. I receive my wonderful gifts! This, I declare, in Jesus' name, Amen!

All things are working for me!

Image
Rom 8:28 (AMP) And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. And so, I declare, that ALL things are working together for my good. Everything that goes on with me is all part of the plan for my betterment .  I have the favour of God and because He loves me, He makes all things work out for me.  I declare it in Jesus' name, Amen!

Invite Jesus Now!

Image
John 2:1-2 (NKJV) On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. Etymologically, Cana means a place of reed. Reed is a tall grass; and it is used for roofing. Now, this was the most significant thing about Cana, reed - a grass. That is pretty mundane, I mean a place is always known for the most significant thing it has. For example, when you think of Paris, you remember the Eiffel tower. Cana wasn't known for gold or silver or bronze or other lovely things, it was known for a grass called Reed. That was how mediocre and uninteresting the place was. To make matters worse, Cana was in Galilee. The bible referred to it as "Cana of Galilee". Etymologically, Galilee was a place of death, a region of darkness. Not only did Cana have nothing to write home about, it was located in a 'cemetery': double trouble, as it were. Sometimes, just when yo...

We are co-creators with God.

Image
We are co-creators with God. God has empowered us by His Spirit to be creators just as He is a creator. But the beauty is that we've got the ' easy ' job. Ours is just to speak and then God goes to work to create what we have said. We are actually partners with God. He has given us that privilege. We do the verbal creation while He does the physical creation . You can create the life you want with your mouth , just speak if forth. The mental creation is a precursor to the verbal creation ("out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks" Matt 12:34). God manufactures what we envision and speak because He can do what we think or ask . So, think it, speak it and God will do it.

God has only the best!

God has THE BEST of everything in ABUNDANCE . He is too rich to settle for anything short of the best. Scriptures reveal that the city of heaven is pure gold ; the streets are made of pure gold; the walls are designed with all manner of precious stones : jasper, sapphire, emerald, beryl, topaz , etc. So we see that God has the abundance of these treasures. Now, out of this abundance of the best , He so gives to us. It's only the best He can give because that's what He has! Even if He wanted to give us anything less than the best, He couldn't because He does have it. Furthermore, God is excited about giving to us. He is not only willing but eager to give to us because He loves us. He has gold enough to decorate walls and streets, how much more to give to you! So, always believe that you are going to receive the best from God in abundance, and you will have it.
