There is hope for you!

Image
Job 14:7-9 (NKJV) For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease. Though its root may grow old in the earth, And its stump may die in the ground, Yet at the scent of water it will bud And bring forth branches like a plant. If there is hope for a tree, there is so much more hope for you! Jesus didn't die for a tree, He died for you . It doesn't matter what you are going through, things will get better! There is definitely hope for you.  You may have been cut down, I give bring you God's word, you will sprout again! Never give up. Never give in. Keep believing. You will surely sprout again. You will bring forth again and you will flourish as the palm tree (Psa 92:12). Friends, you may have tangible reasons to be discouraged, but I say to you again, there is hope for you, and hope doesn't disappoint (Rom 5:5) . God bless you.

Understanding the purpose of challenges

2 Cor 12: 7 - 10 (NKJV) And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong . In a previous post Jesus has given you great peace , we were reminded that we live in a world that is loaded with troubles, challenges, distresses, storms; and Jesus Himself acceded to this when He said "in this world, you will have tribulation.." (John 16:33). In this post however, we seek to establish the purpos...

We have peace with God through Jesus

Image
Rom 5:1 (NIV) Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ Our reference scripture clearly establishes that peace with God is attained after justification by faith ; and that we obtain peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ . Friends, this is a powerful truth because it clearly reveals the prerequisite for being at peace with God and the person through whom we obtain such peace. Now, if indeed we have peace with God after we have been justified by faith, it means that at some point (that is before our justification), we did not have peace with God. And this is consistent with scriptures. The bible clearly reveals that with the sin of Adam all were made sinners and therefore enemies of God (Rom 8:7) . As a result, we lost our peace with God. While we enjoyed fellowship, peace and harmony with God from the beginning, the disobedience of Adam brought discord, dispute, separation between God and men, and ...

Jesus has given you great peace

In a previous post  You have the peace of Christ! , we saw that when Jesus was leaving His disciples and returning to Heaven, He intentionally left HIS   peace behind with them. He didn't forget it, He left it willfully and mindfully.  You might ask, of all the things He could have left behind, why peace ? Firstly friends, He wasn't going to need it in Heaven (smiles) . Heaven is a peaceful place and each inhabitant doesn't need His own peace as it were; the peace of God in Heaven overwhelms everyone and everything. The bible says in Rev 21:4 "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Everybody is joyful and happy because the Glory of God fills the place. Oh, you don't want to miss Heaven! On the contrary, earth is a chaotic place and every single inhabitant of earth needs peace! We live in a world that is filled wit...
