You are a victor in Christ Jesus!

Col 2:15 
[God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross]. (AMPC)

God defeated the spiritual rulers and powers. With the cross God won the victory and defeated them. He showed the world that they were powerless. (ICB)

The crucifixion, death and resurrection of JESUS was an epic demonstration of the supremacy of Jesus over the devil. It was total victory every point of the way over the works of darkness. The victory was brutal and flawless. It was definitely a lesson in defeating your enemy. The devil fought tooth and nail but he was doomed to fail from the off. Everything he tried to end Jesus failed spectacularly.

They flogged Him mercilessly, but were totally oblivious to the fact that by His stripes, we'll be healed! (Isa 53:5)
They hung Him on a tree, not knowing that by that He'll redeem us from the curse of the law (Gal 3:13).
They pierced Him and blood and water gushed out, but little did they know that through the shedding of His precious blood, there'll be forgiveness of sins (Matt 26:28, Heb 9:22).
They killed Him, but the devil had no idea whatsoever that that was the high point of His ministry, that was His purpose - He was born to die.

Next, He was buried in a tomb. Though this was customary, it kind of gave credence to the fact that Jesus' life on earth was over. I mean, there was no hope of resurrection. If there was, they wouldn't have buried Him in a tomb. But on the third day, glory to God! He rose up as He said!! (Matt 28:6).
As if that were not enough, they rolled a large stone over the tomb to prevent Him from coming out, just in case He rose as He said; "And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it" (Matt 28:2 NKJV).
Furthermore, they put a battalion of soldiers to guard the tomb. When the angel showed up, the soldiers were so afraid that they became as dead men (Matt 28:4).
The Chief Priests even went as far as bribing the soldiers to ensure the news of His resurrection was killed. But over 2000 years after, we are still hearing and celebrating the glorious resurrection of our Lord Jesus!

All these, Christ did for us! And so, you have been made a victor! You are more than a conqueror. Consequently, everything the devil plots against you will fail spectacularly. Who is he that saith a thing and it comes to pass when the LORD has not ordained it? (Lam 3:37). Don't be scared over all that gather against you to plot your downfall. They will surely fail. They shall surely gather, but they shall scatter (Isa 54:15). "The Lord who sits in Heaven will laugh them to scorn (Psa 2:4). Fear not, for Christ has already overcomed the world for our sakes (John 16:33).
Friends, the story of Jesus gave us a demonstration of the supremacy of God over the devil and in Christ, that supremacy, dominion, authority has been given to us. We have power over the devil and all his agents! Glory to God! We are an overcomer in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Rejoice, it's your season of abundance for overflow

Joel 2:23-24 (NKJV) Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God;  For He has given you the former rain faithfully, and He will cause the rain to come down for you — The former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil. Prophet Joel begins by telling us to be glad and rejoice in the Lord our God; and of a truth we have all been called to live a life brimming with  joy and gladness  because amongst other reasons,  it is for our safety . Give your bread and fish to Jesus!

God is still in the business of multiplying loaves of bread and fishes. But like that little boy did, you have to give it to Him and watch Him multiply i t.  God wants to feed the world with your loaves of bread and fishes. Look around you and you will find that many are hungry and are in need of bread and fishes, and I don't mean this literally only. The world right now is full of gloom and doom, but the solution is with you, in your hands . Give it to Jesus, let Him reach out to people. He will sustain you with it and the world as well. Friend, you may not know, but there are a million and one people who are worse off than you, and their condition has worsened in the light of the Coronavirus pandemic. Jesus loves you

On this side of eternity, we sing " Jesus, You're all that matters " and rightly so, He's indeed all that matters and I don't want to get into that right now. We should sing it, again and again and again "He's all that matters".  However, on the other side of eternity, Jesus is singing "you're all that matters to me". And while you don't need to be a scholar in rocket science or a brain surgeon to understand why He's all that matters or why He is all that should matter, many still can't wrap their heads around the fact that we're all that matters to Him ! The world is failing but God will never fail

Mark 13:31   Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away . Friends, recent happenings in the world emphasizes the need to hold on to God and His Word more than ever before. It is time to really study the Word, and then hold on to it with all you've got and as if your life depended on it because friends, it actually does.  As our scriptural reference reveals, heaven and earth will pass away, but God's words will NEVER pass away. The world and the systems of the world as we know it, are already passing away, and at an astonishing pace I must add. JESUS came to reveal God's likeness

Colossians 1:15 (NKJV) He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation . God created man in His image and likeness. However, when man sinned, he still had the "image" of God, but lost the "likeness". In other words, he still looked like God but he lost the capacity to display his likeness or similitude to God . Consequently, what became the norm were behaviors that were completely atypical of God. Man took turns to misrepresent God from their distorted perspective of the likeness of God or their inability to replicate how God was really like. Cain killing Abel was a case in point among many others. Recall, man was supposed to learn and perfect his knowledge of God and the capacity to flawlessly exhibit the likeness of God from the time God set aside to spend with man in the Garden of Eden. Annals of the Cross (8)

In previous posts, we were told that the Cross was an eternal and irrevocable statement of  love  and  judgment  by God to man and the devil respectively. We have also been told that the  Cross  has a plethora of associated dividends which are legitimately ours to enjoy now and forever. In addition, we were also told that because of the sacrifice of Christ on the   Cross , God doesn't really have a choice anymore, as it were, He has to bless us. The moment He accepted 'payment' (Jesus' death), He committed Himself to deliver 'the goods'. Moreover, the  Cross  is the eternal receipt, as it were, that reminds God of the payment Jesus made for everything we desire.
