The Lord is your shepherd!

Matt 12:1 (NKJV)
At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. And His disciples were hungry, and began to pluck heads of grain and to eat

It was Sabbath day and Jesus passed through the grainfields. The disciples were so hungry that they plucked heads of grain and ate. It wasn't Jesus that told them to do that, but I am sure He intentionally passed through the grainfields because He knew His disciples were hungry and wanted to meet their need. Of course He knew they would eat.
This reveals the infinite love and concern of God for us. He knows our needs and He is committed to meeting them. He promised to meet us at the point of our need. He will order our steps, He will make us lie down in green pastures, lead us beside still waters. He will lead us into provision so our needs will be met.

Jesus is the good shepherd (John 10:11,14) and we are His sheep, the sheep of His pasture (Psa 95:7, 100:3).
In our reference scripture, we see Jesus playing out His role as our shepherd to perfection. Not only did He lead His flock to green pastures (the grainfields), He defended them when they came against criticism from the Pharisees (Matt 12:2). The Lord is your shepherd. He knows that you need to eat. He knows that you need to be healed, He knows you need a child, He knows you need a job, He knows you need peace in your home, He knows you need money, whatever it is that you need, He knows it all and as a wonderful Father that He is, He is committed to meeting them all (Phil 4:19). He is your shepherd, so you shall not want (Psa 23:1), because He will provide everything you need.

Finally friends, we have to be sensitive to realize when our provisions have been made. It might not be how we expect it to be. God will not always meet our needs the way we expect Him to. In short, our mind is too small to grasp and predict the ways of God. We can only know His ways when He reveals them to us. When the disciples found themselves in the grainfields, they knew provision had been made and then they plucked to eat. It was sabbath though and it was not 'lawful' for them to do so. But that didn't stop them from accessing their miracle when it was before them (maybe because they understood the real interpretation of Sabbath). Sometimes, we let 'tradition' hinder us from our blessings (Matt 15:6). A lot of the time, we place limitations on our own miracles. God is not placing any barriers before us, we shouldn't either. The veil has been torn, so let us come boldly and access the limitless blessings God has made available to us. God bless you.
