See what happens when you experience oppression

Image
Exo 1:12 (NKJV)  But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were in dread of the children of Israel.  The bible records that the children of Israel so greatly multiplied and became exceedingly numerous in Egypt (Exo 1:7) that the Egyptians became greatly concerned. And when a new King came on board, who didn't care about them or their antecedent in Egypt, he expressed his trepidation to his people and initiated plans to curtail the growth of the Israelites. His people took his plans to flight and greatly oppressed the Israelites all in a bid to suppress their fruitfulness. But, unfortunately for them, and to their enhanced infuriation, the Israelites thrived in the midst of the oppression. The bible says "but the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread; so the Egyptians came to dread the Israelites". Friends, this is a wonderful word of encouragement because we all experience some form of oppressio...

See God in the midst of your circumstance!

Image
Gen 39:2 (NKJV)  The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. Your situation is not the determinant of the presence or absence of God. Your circumstance is not a proof that God is with you or that He has forsaken you. It is not also a marker of your success or failure in life, Joseph's life proves that. That you are having a great time is no indication of the presence of God neither does unpleasant circumstances indicate that God is absent. Also, that you are having a terrible time does not mean you are a failure neither does having a great time indicate you are a success. Irrespective of your situation, God is always with you because He promised never to leave (Matt 28:20, Heb 13:5). Whatever your present circumstance, pleasant or unpleasant, if you are saved, then God is with you and you are a success as a matter of consequence. This is what Joseph's story clearly teaches.  ...

The cross epitomizes the supremacy of God over satan

Image
The story of Easter is a beautiful demonstration of the supremacy of God over the devil. It was a great exhibition of the power of God over satan. The events surrounding the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus gave the conclusive evidence that God has absolute dominion over the devil (not that it was ever in doubt). I mean, everything the devil tried to end Jesus failed spectacularly.  Every strategy he employed to suppress the glorious story of Jesus' divinity was always going to fail; and fail they did! Firstly, t hey killed Him, but little did the devil know that was the high point of His ministry. The bible said if they knew, they wouldn't have crucified the Lord of glory (1 Cor 2:8). So the devil was totally oblivious to the fact that by killing Jesus, the world would be saved. This tells me the devil is not so smart. He is an ignorant fool; he cannot outsmart you because you have the wisdom of God. And you should know, the devil does not know God's plan...

Do you know Jesus went to hell?

Image
Ephesians 4:9-10 (KJV) Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things. Till date, some don't know that Jesus went to hell. But yes, He sure did! And He did, so that you and I never have to go to hell. Please chew on that. You know, the devil was absolutely stunned to see Jesus in hell . He knew Jesus had no sin and therefore had no place in hell whatsoeve r. You and I were destined to go to hell as a consequence of sin but Jesus forever  altered the course of destiny for all men.  And so, Jesus rightly went to hell because He died, not with sin, but as sin . Scripture says He who knew no sin was made sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Cor 5:21). Now, you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus! Friends, you must know, your righteousness is not a function of what yo...
