The cross epitomizes the supremacy of God over satan

The story of Easter is a beautiful demonstration of the supremacy of God over the devil. It was a great exhibition of the power of God over satan. The events surrounding the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus gave the conclusive evidence that God has absolute dominion over the devil (not that it was ever in doubt). I mean, everything the devil tried to end Jesus failed spectacularly. Every strategy he employed to suppress the glorious story of Jesus' divinity was always going to fail; and fail they did!

Firstly, they killed Him, but little did the devil know that was the high point of His ministry. The bible said if they knew, they wouldn't have crucified the Lord of glory (1 Cor 2:8). So the devil was totally oblivious to the fact that by killing Jesus, the world would be saved. This tells me the devil is not so smart. He is an ignorant fool; he cannot outsmart you because you have the wisdom of God. And you should know, the devil does not know God's plans for you so he cannot stop them. God's plans for us is privileged information; the devil doesn't have clearance (1 Cor 2:9).

Secondly, Jesus was buried in a tomb. Though this was customary, it kind of gave credence to the fact that His life on earth was concluded. I mean, there was no hope of resurrection. If there was, they wouldn't have buried Him in a tomb. Yet He came out of the tomb! I don't  know what tomb you've been buried in, you will come out! Whosoever has said your case is finished, will be disappointed because God will do new and greater things for you that will amaze the naysayers. When people think your life is concluded, you will make a new start by the Spirit of God as He quickened Jesus from the grave.

Thirdly, they rolled a large stone over the tomb to prevent Jesus' disciples access to Him. But the angel of the Lord came and rolled away the stone and sat on it! Whatever stone, whatever barrier, whatever limitation that has been placed before you to stop you experiencing the glory of God, I command them to be rolled away right now. I see the angel of the Lord rolling it away and sitting on it such that it can't be rolled back ever in Jesus' name.

Next, they put a battalion of soldiers to guard the tomb. When the angel of God came, the soldiers shook for fear and became like dead men; they were immobilized in fear, powerless to stop what God was doing. I don't care the battalion of enemies or spirits that have ganged up against you, they will tremble before you because God is right there with you, and God will prepare a table for you in their presence. They will be immobilized in fear, powerless to stop you from feasting. You better feast!

Furthermore, after Jesus arose in such glorious fashion, the soldiers who witnessed the whole show firsthand, took the news to the chief priests. However, after consultation with the elders, the chief priests bribed the soldiers to ensure the news of His resurrection was killed. But over two thousand years after, people are still hearing about the glorious resurrection of Jesus; we are witnesses to that.

In addition, Jesus said He would rise again on the third day, and He did! Glory to God! What He said came to pass. Whatever God has said to you and about you will surely come to pass! The devil cannot stop it, neither can he change it. What is written is written, what is spoken is spoken!

So we see, everything the devil tried failed spectacularly. So also it is and will be for you. Everything the devil plots against you will fail. The devil has got zero power to execute his plans for you. He has been stripped of ALL his powers (Matt 28:18). Don't be scared over all that gather against you to plot your downfall, they will surely fail and scatter before you. The story of Jesus gave us a demonstration of the supremacy of God over the devil and because you belong to God, that supremacy, dominion, authority has been given to you. You have power over the devil and all his agents. Glory to God!

Rejoice, it's your season of abundance for overflow

Joel 2:23-24 (NKJV) Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God;  For He has given you the former rain faithfully, and He will cause the rain to come down for you — The former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. Give your bread and fish to Jesus!

God is still in the business of multiplying loaves of bread and fishes. But like that little boy did, you have to give it to Him and watch Him multiply i t.  God wants to feed the world with your loaves of bread and fishes. Look around you and you will find that many are hungry and are in need of bread and fishes, and I don't mean this literally only. The world right now is full of gloom and doom, but the solution is with you, in your hands . Give it to Jesus, let Him reach out to people. He will sustain you with it and the world as well. Jesus loves you

On this side of eternity, we sing " Jesus, You're all that matters " and rightly so, He's indeed all that matters and I don't want to get into that right now. We should sing it, again and again and again "He's all that matters".  However, on the other side of eternity, Jesus is singing "you're all that matters to me". The world is failing but God will never fail

Mark 13:31   Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away . Friends, recent happenings in the world emphasizes the need to hold on to God and His Word more than ever before. JESUS came to reveal God's likeness

Colossians 1:15 (NKJV) He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation . God created man in His image and likeness. However, when man sinned, he still had the "image" of God, but lost the "likeness". In other words, he still looked like God but he lost the capacity to display his likeness or similitude to God . Consequently, what became the norm were behaviors that were completely atypical of God. Man took turns to misrepresent God from their distorted perspective of the likeness of God or their inability to replicate how God was really like. Cain killing Abel was a case in point among many others. Annals of the Cross (8)

In previous posts, we were told that the Cross was an eternal and irrevocable statement of  love  and  judgment  by God to man and the devil respectively. We have also been told that the  Cross  has a plethora of associated dividends which are legitimately ours to enjoy now and forever. In addition, we were also told that because of the sacrifice of Christ on the   Cross , God doesn't really have a choice anymore, as it were, He has to bless us. The moment He accepted 'payment' (Jesus' death), He committed Himself to deliver 'the goods'. Moreover, the  Cross  is the eternal receipt, as it were, that reminds God of the payment Jesus made for everything we desire.
