Let God lead you (2)

Beloved, in a previous post titled Let God lead you (1), we were  encouraged to submit to the leadership of Jesus this year and this new decade. But maybe, just maybe someone is wondering, why should I let the Lord lead me? Well, I am sure most of us already know the answer to that, and so this will just be a reminder of sort.

Beloved, a great king - who had years of experience being in a position of being led by Jesus - made this historic declaration "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want." Evidently, in his years of allowing the Lord lead him, he had seen enough to be convinced that as long as he submitted to the leadership of the Lord as his shepherd, he will never be in want. And true to His confession, he didn't just live most of his life in abundance, he lived it as king of a great nation at the time. There was a time before he became king, he and his men were returning from a journey and were so farmished that he went to the temple and he was given "holy bread" for them to eat which was not lawful at the time, in that it was meant for priests alone. That's what can happen when the Lord is your shepherd. He breaks protocols to supply your needs and keep you in a state of perpetual satisfaction.

Friends, when you make the Lord your shepherd, you will not want. He is the shepherd who knows all you need and proactively makes provision. What is it that you want? What is that need? What are your deepest desires? What are your dreams and aspirations for the year and this decade? What are your expectations? Submit to the leadership of Jesus and He will release the provisions that addresses the needs and makes the dreams and vision a reality.

The interesting thing is that the provision He makes is not just sufficient, but superfluous. It is such that you will never want again. It is one that puts you in a position to be a relentless lender and not a perennial borrower. Make the Lord your shepherd this year and decade. He knows where the green pastures are, He'll make you lie down on them; He knows where the still waters are, He'll sure lead you beside them; He knows the paths of righteousness, He'll lead along them. He has all the "good things" to satisfy your soul with. Submit to the leadership of Jesus and you will not want anything. God bless you.
