Do not fear (2)
In a previous post, we were told not to fear; that, when we are unafraid, we will effectively repel all kinds of negative occurrences (Isa 54:14).
As we know, there is a difference between truth and fact. The fact is based on reality, something known to exist or have happened and have or can be sensed, in that it can or has been seen, heard or felt. On the other hand, the truth is based on the Word of God. The fact is, you may have credible reasons to be afraid based on circumstances around you; but the truth is, you have no reason to fear based on what God has said about those circumstances. God's word should be more real to you than what you see, hear or feel. If you let the Word of God control your reality, you can never find any reason to be afraid. Every word God has said will surely come to pass; it may tarry a little, but it will always be established at the end of the day. This is why it is far more real that the transient things going on around you.
So, friends, what words from God should you let control your reality such that you do not fear? For starters, Hebrews 13:5-6 (NKJV) says "....For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”. Friends, God Himself has promised never to leave you nor forsake you, you will do well to bear in mind that He always keeps His promises. Moreover, God is your helper hence you really don't have any reason to fear. When you are in need of assistance and it appears help is not forthcoming, you may be tempted to activate fear mode, but before you do, remember that God is with you always to offer you all the help you need and more. He is your helper, your source, your succour. Take your eyes off the men or things trying to harm you, or those you are looking to for help, and look to Jesus - your real helper. He will surely come through for you. Such a time, is not the time to be mute. Not at all, it is the time to make a bold declaration that God is your helper and you will not fear. Let all your senses get the message. Let it resound in your mind over and over again. Make the declaration as often as possible till and even after you see God's help manifesting. This is how you display fearlessness and activate God's power by your faith. God bless you.
